The Buffalo Review TV

As a senior at Buffalo State I took a class titled "Advanced Multi-cam Production" where we shot a live news show every week. We rotated rolls and I was able to experience everything involved in a live production.

Show 1

Graphics

I was in charge of coming up with how our lower thirds would look for the show and set up the key shots. This was done using the Deko1000 software.

I was in charge of the entire studio floor for this shoot. I had to relay messages from the director to the talent, help position the cameras, focus the lights and much more.

Show 9

Director

I directed this show which means I collaborated with producers to create a rundown in iNews, prepared all the scripts and rundowns for my team, gave camera directions, and gave shots to the technical director.

Show 10

Technical Director

For this show I was in charge of the switch board that controls what camera shots, graphics, and videos are live.

Show 11

Telepromter

I ran the teleprompter this week where I kept time with the talent's reading while using the Autocue program.

Show 12

Graphics

I was back on graphics again and used the design I had come up with previously for lower thirds in the show.
